Italian restaurants, sub shops, calzone counters and Italian delis sit next to the pizzerias on this site because most of them bake pizza too, often from the same dough. Full-service Italian restaurants take reservations for dinner, add a tip line for table service (15-20% is customary) and usually run a cheaper lunch menu on weekdays. Sub and sandwich shops are counter-order and quick, with sizes by the inch or in half and whole lengths. Calzones and strombolis are priced like a medium pizza and are large enough to share. Italian delis and bakeries sell by weight and by the piece, and many close mid-afternoon.
Hours are published for 2 days a week. Typical hours are 7 AMβ6 PM. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. Albany is in New York, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Getting around Albany is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across New York's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

Bountiful Bread has such a charming, cozy atmosphere. It is the kind of place you want to linger in. The layout is thoughtfully done, with a warm, inviting vibe that makes it feel both quaint and spacious at the same time. It really nails the ambiance. I picked up a half dozen mixed cupcakes, vanilla and chocolate, and visually they were stunning. Beautifully decorated and very tempting. Unfortunately, the taste did not quite match the presentation. The cupcakes had more of a premix feel rather than tasting like they were made from scratch, and the flavors came across a bit flat. At $16 for six cupcakes, especially given that they are on the smaller side, I definitely expected better in terms of quality and flavor. Overall, I really enjoyed the space and the experience of being there, but the baked goods did not live up to the look.

Love this spot! The service is always amazing. Our lunch was delicious as usual. Grab a seeded rye and it is so authentic.

It is very good here!! I like their sandwiches. But not as much as their soupπ€€π€€π€€ππ. I've also had really good scrambled eggs here. That was my second time. And I remember it was amazing. This time I got half sandwich half soup. I got a Vermont turkey sandwich with no cheese and un toasted and the soup, Italian wedding. I love the soup and the sandwich!!! And I also got a desert. I don't know what it's called, but it's definitely good!!

First time there, the way to order was very convenient, food was done pretty quick. Had a steak and egg omelet witch was really good, the bread was awesome. only complaint I have is that the plates that they use were very small I didn't feel like I had much room for anything and made every thing feel really tight. I had to put my bread on a napkin on the table. Trying to make it look like you have more food then what you really do not a big deal, if the food is good and you do have good food. Need to get larger plates.

Another disgusting capital area eatery. Why are you serving sad, wilted, improperly washed lettuce? Nasty. Easily the worst salad Iβve had in NY. Their house dressing is a thick gloopy nightmare, not a dressing. The chicken thatβs included is 3 measly, rubbery, dry, nearly frozen nubs. Iβd rather chew on a catheter bag. Now, I donβt normally complain about a piece of bread, but seeing as how this is βbountiful breadβ, it should be mentioned. And wow, the baguette was day old, stale, and tasteless. So maybe their supply is not bountiful enough, or even well made. Whoever managed today 2/10/26 should be ashamed. I wish I could have my money back. Thanks for reading. Heyheyhey! Iβm baaack! Well I couldnβt stay away, and so being a loyal patron of local businesses, I gave BB one more chance. Shame on me, I suppose. The attached photo is of their Apple and Brie grilled cheese. What a joke! Besides lacking the proper amount of requisite ingredients, this is pathetically put together. Looks like slop. But $15 for this?? No thank you. Respect yourself, BB. If this is what you stand by then you donβt deserve to serve this community. Stay away.
